Iyerosun Ifa Powder (Ashe)

Iyerosun is a sacred yellow powder derived from the wood of the Irosun tree, used in Santería and Ifá as the Ashe of Orunmila. It is primarily used to mark the Odu (signs) on the divination board (Opon Ifá), acting as a bridge of communication, clarity, truth, and spiritual energy between the babalawo and Orunmila.

• Divination (Ikin): It is essential for Ifá divination, where priests sprinkle the powder on the Opon-Ifa to draw the sacred signs.
• Spiritual Connection: It represents the wisdom of Orunmila and facilitates spiritual guidance.
• Rituals and Consecrations: It is used in various ceremonies to invoke blessings, good luck, positive changes, and protection.
• Personal Use: Some people rub a small amount on the crown of their head to invoke the energy of Orunmila and obtain Ashe (power/blessing).
