The cement oddé (cement mold or figure) in Santería or the Orisha Rule serves primarily as a container or physical safeguard to hold the essence of spiritual energies, often associated with the orisha Oshosi or elements of protection. It is used in ritual and ceremonial contexts to represent the strength and protection of the orishas.

• Protective safeguard: They are tools used for personal or home protection, prepared with ritual elements (carga) that acquire ashe (power).
• Ritual Container: It acts as a physical receptacle that contains the essence of a spiritual energy or deity.
