Silver Cowbell

3" x3"

In Santería (the Orisha-Ifá tradition), the cowbell serves primarily as a ritual instrument to invoke, call upon, and please the Orishas, especially Oshún, as its harmonious sound is associated with sweetness, prosperity, and the cleansing of energies. It is an essential component in the fundamentos (altars) and ceremonies to connect with spirituality and elevate the energy.

• Invocation of the Orishas: It is used to call upon specific manifestations of the deities, similar to the use of bells or maracas.
• Oshún: It is closely linked to the Orisha of love and abundance, Oshún, being part of her attributes on the altar.
• Cleansing and Harmony: Its sound is used to cleanse the ritual space and harmonize the environment during ceremonies.
