3" Plastic Toy Boat

The mini boat or sailboat is a powerful symbolic element used in ebbó (offering, sacrifice, or ritual work) mainly to open paths, attract prosperity, health, and stability, and facilitate growth, having a direct connection with the energies of the sea.

• Veneration and Offerings to Yemayá: The boat is Yemayá's preferred offering, the owner of the sea and mother of most of the Orishas. It is used to ask for her intervention in difficult situations, stability in the home, and success.
• Request for Travel or Changes: If a trip, move, or change of course in life (a new beginning) is desired, the little boat is loaded with offerings (addimú) and delivered to the sea so that the orisha guides that change.
• Prosperity and Economic Development: It is very common to use it to attract money, business, and material success. Sometimes, a boat is prepared with coins, sugar cane, molasses, mirrors, necklaces, and other offerings, and deposited in the sea to ask for abundance.
• Cleansing of Negative Energy: In an ebó, the mini sailboat can serve to "take away" the negative (osorbos) away from the person, cleansing the house or environment of witchcraft, gossip, or envy.
