An Agboran Osain is a physical representation or wooden statue (fetish) of Ossaín, the Yoruba orisha of medicine, nature, and herbal magic. These figures are often carved with specific physical attributes that symbolize his dominion over flora and sorcery.

• Who is Ossaín: He is the deity who rules nature, healing, and the secrets of plants. He is considered a powerful sorcerer and master of spells.
• Physical attributes: Frequently represented in tradition as a being with one eye, one arm, and one leg, symbolizing his unique connection with nature and his way of being.
• Meaning of the Agboran: The Agboran (statue/figure) serves as an icon to venerate and work with the energy of Ossaín, essential for healing rituals and the preparation of traditional medicines

In Santería, the figure of Ossaín is fundamental, as without his permission and his "ashe" (power) over the herbs, many of the main rituals cannot be correctly performed.
