Sigidi, or Sugudu, is a spiritual entity revered in Yoruba/Afro-Brazilian traditions, known as the spirit of nightmares, protection, and revenge, often associated with mental manipulation during sleep. It is considered a powerful agent, distinct from Exu, used for defense and complex tasks.

·        Function: It is invoked for personal protection, but is also believed to have the ability to attack or harm enemies while they sleep.

• Rituals: In these traditions, offerings are made and clay figures are used to work with this spirit.
• Connection: Its relationship with sorcerers who manipulate its energies and its joint work with the force of Exu is mentioned.

The term may also appear phonetically similar in musical contexts, such as "Ziriguidum", but the above definition corresponds to the spiritual entity.
