Haitian Vodou, in all its forms and branches, such as Dominican Division 21, Puerto Rican Sanse, or New Orleans Vodou, are traditions that empower women. In our rituals, women are seen as equally strong, as important, and sometimes even stronger than their male counterparts. This feminine power manifests through the Lwa and Spirits we venerate.
