The wooden lebrillo in Santería (Regla de Ocha) is primarily used as a sacred receptacle for the Orisha Agayú. It is a fundamental piece on the altar to honor this deity and represents his sacred space, often preferred in solid wood as a traditional alternative or complement to clay lebrillos.

• Agayú's Seat: It serves as the tray or container where Agayú's tools and attributes are placed.
• Altar and Ceremonies: It is placed on home altars or in spiritual rooms, being durable and suitable for Yoruba practices.
• Multiple uses: It can serve as a lebrillo, mortar, or pedestal for Agayú and other Orishas depending on the ceremonial context
