Tools of Obatala Ayaguna

The tool of Obatalá Ayáguna (one of the youngest, most warlike and impetuous advocations of this deity) is used in Santería to impose justice, overcome difficulties, and clear obstacles from one's path through strength and strategy.

Unlike other more peaceful paths of Obatalá, Ayáguna's tools focus on active protection and spiritual warfare.

• The sword or scimitar: To cut off negative energies at their roots and fight against adversity.
• The horse: Represents his mount, symbolizing speed, tireless energy, and unstoppable progress.
• The scepter or staff of command: Symbol of his supreme power, authority, and justice
