Clay casserole dish for Saint Lazarus

The pot of Saint Lazarus (or Babalú Ayé) is a clay vessel used in Santería and Afro-Cuban religions to house the spiritual representation of the orisha, serving to invoke their protection against diseases and epidemics and to request health. It is a central element for performing offerings and healing rituals.

• Spiritual Function: It represents the house of Babalú Ayé, the orisha of health, contagious diseases, and healing.
• Ritual Use: It is used to receive offerings (such as roasted corn, fish, and dry wine) and perform prayers for the healing of physical ailments.
