Olokun Large Clay Potiche 18"X13"

Large clay pot dedicated to Olokún. Measurements: 18" x 13". Ritual vessel for use in Santería practices.

In Santería (Regla de Ocha) and the Ifá tradition, a large clay pot (often known as a clay jar or clay pot with a lid) used by a Babalawo serves primarily as a sacred receptacle to contain the energies and tools of specific Orishas.

Babalawos, as sages of Ifá, use these vessels after initiation ceremonies or when divination indicates that the person needs to receive a specific deity in a clay pot. Clay, being a natural element of the earth, is considered the ideal material to maintain the energy of the Orishas

• Settlement of Orishas: They are used to settle Orishas that require elements of the earth or a cool environment
