Coconut oil

In Santería and the Yoruba religion, coconut oil (often derived from ori or used in conjunction with dried coconut/obi) is primarily used for spiritual cleansings (despojos), protection, consecrations, and attraction rituals. It is essential for warding off negative energies, nourishing deities, and attracting blessings.

• Cleansing and Despojo: It is used to perform deep spiritual cleansings on people and homes, helping to gather and remove negative influences or low-vibration spirits.
• Spiritual Protection: It is used to create energy shields, protecting against ill intentions and evil spirits.
• Consecration Rituals: Coconut oil, often mixed with other elements, is applied to the temples, hands, and body to consecrate the person before important ceremonies.
• Attraction and Prosperity: It is used in rituals aimed at attracting good fortune, love, and abundance.
