Gold metal angel 1" tall

In the context of Santería (the Orisha-Ifá tradition), the term "angel" can have different interpretations depending on whether it refers to an Orisha figure or to syncretic concepts. Generally, the most important concept is the Guardian Angel, which represents the Orisha that governs a person's head.

• Elegguá (The Little Orisha): Frequently, a small stone figure (otán) or a small idol represents Elegguá, who is the Orisha of the crossroads. It is placed near the door to protect the home, bring prosperity, and guide destiny.
• Baby Figure/Initiation Orisha: In some houses of worship, the Orishas received by the initiates (aleyos) may be represented in small sizes for personal devotion and daily protection.
• Energy Harmonization: They are used to harmonize the person with their guardian angel after spiritual cleansings, helping to attract positive energy and protection.
