Wooden Bat 18" Tall

In Santería (the Orisha-Ifá tradition) and Afro-Cuban religions, consecrated wooden staffs or bats are primarily used as ritual tools to invoke strength, energy, and visual presence. Specifically, the Shango (Changó) Bat is a handcrafted representation, often decorated with red and white beads, that symbolizes the power of this Orisha.

• Ritual Use: They are used in ceremonies to direct energy, defend the believer, and attract positive situations.
• Representation of Shango: As a symbol of the deity of thunder and fire, this bat is associated with personal defense and justice.
