Iron Cauldron

In Santería and Afro-Cuban religions, the iron cauldron is a fundamental element used primarily as a sacred vessel for Oggun (orisha of iron and war) and Oshosi. It is used to hold offerings and warrior tools, perform spiritual pacts, cook ritual foods, and burn materials such as incense or petitions.

·        Seating of Orishas and Spirits: It is used to mount or consecrate the foundations of the Warriors (Oggun and Oshosi) and for the worship of the Egun (ancestral spirits).

• Offering Container: Food, herbs, and ritual elements are placed inside to feed the deity.
• Workings and Rituals: It is used to burn herbs, resins, incense, or papers with petitions (sigils) during magic workings or spiritual cleansings.

Protection and Strength: It represents the energy of iron, transformation, and the power of destruction/creation, being essential on the altar to protect against negative energies
