8" Luminous Plastic Crucifix for Vault

Dimensions: 8"

The Platico crucifix does not have the same theological meaning as in Catholicism, but it is used due to religious syncretism to represent and channel certain energies, especially those related to protection and ancestor worship.

• Protection and Spiritual Shield: It is used as a powerful amulet to protect against negative energies, evil influences, and witchcraft.
• Ancestor Worship (Egun): The crucifix is common in the "dead corner" or in ancestor worship (Egun). It is used to honor the deceased and ensure they remain in the light, acting as a point of connection with the spiritual plane.
• Syncretism with Obatala or the Orishas: Although it is not exclusive, it is often associated with the purity and authority of Obatalá, or placed on the orisha bowls as a symbol of balance and spiritual power.
• Support in Spiritism: Within spiritist sessions (closely linked to Santería), the crucifix serves as a tool to attract entities of light and raise the spiritual level of the place
