Cap for Head Prayer

The cap used in the head prayer (often a white "cap") is used to cover, protect, and keep cool the sacred ingredients (coconut, cocoa butter, cascarilla) applied to the forehead and scalp. It serves to maintain spiritual concentration, protect the person's energy, and respect the privacy of the ceremony.
