Our Lady of Fatima 8"

In Yoruba syncretism, Our Lady of Fatima does not have a direct and unique correspondence like other Marian devotions, but her figure as a Heavenly Mother, bearer of divine messages and protector, resonates with several female Orishas, especially Yemayá (mother of the sea, protection) or Oshún (love, fertility), although Fatima is more associated with the apparition and the message of peace, linked to Our Lady of the Rosary, which seeks resonance with the universal maternal figure and the protection of the people in the African diaspora, integrating into popular devotion without a perfect equivalence.
