River Land 1 oz

In Santería (the Orisha-Ifá tradition), river earth is a sacred element of great importance, primarily associated with Oshún, the orisha of fresh waters, love, fertility, and abundance. It is believed to contain a great deal of aché (life force/power) and is used in various rituals to promote positive changes.

• Offerings and Oshún: It is used to prepare offerings, especially those intended to attract sweetness, financial prosperity, personal growth, and fertility, all of which are characteristics of Oshún.
• Preparation of Ashé: River earth is included in the preparation of sacred powders and ashé (mixtures of ritual ingredients) used in consecrations.
• Baths and Cleansings: It is used in spiritual baths to cleanse negative energies, eliminate infertility (physical or spiritual), and attract love and sweetness into a person's life.
• Rituals for Personal Growth: It is common to ask the river orisha (and the river itself) for changes in life, using the earth to bring abundance, employment, or stability.
• Settling of Orishas: It is one of the elements needed to prepare the charge of certain orishas or to work with otanes (sacred stones) collected from the river.
