Wooden Steering Wheel Approx. 12" High x 1" Wide

The wooden ship's wheel, especially when it is a decorative replica of a ship's wheel, is used in Santería and Spiritism primarily as a symbolic and ritual element dedicated to the deities of the sea and waters.

• Veneration of Yemayá and Olokun: It is widely used on altars and in spaces consecrated to Yemayá (queen of the sea) and Olokun (owner of the ocean depths), serving as an offering or spiritual decorative element.
• Symbolism of Direction and Control: Just as in navigation, spiritually the wheel symbolizes the ability to steer the course of life, control destiny, and make firm decisions under the guidance of the Orishas.
• Ritual Tool: It is used to represent authority over the waters and for workings focused on the flow of situations, protection, and energetic cleansing.
