Mousetrap 4"X2"

Mouse Trap 4"X2"

In Santería and the Yoruba religion, the mouse trap (or mousetrap) is used primarily as a magical and ritual object associated with Eleguá (the owner of the roads), Oggun (deity of metals and work), and Orula (the diviner).

• Catch and neutralize enemies: It is used to "catch" gossip, envy, ill intentions, or witchcraft sent by ill-intentioned people.
• Block obstacles: It is activated to stop any trap, harm, or hindrance (closed roads) that spiritual or earthly enemies have placed in your path.
• Bindings: In some spiritual magic workings, it is used symbolically to "capture" and hold a person's will so that they do not leave or to return them to their home.
