Oshun Lined Guira 9"Height x 4.5"Width

A lined güiro, specifically dedicated or lined with yellow and gold beads for Oshun, serves primarily as a sacred vessel, amulet, and ritual tool for the worship of and connection with the orisha of fresh waters. Although lined güiros are frequently associated with Ozain, when prepared for Oshun, they serve to contain her energy (ashé) and request prosperity.

• Receptacle of Energy: It serves as a "home" or physical sanctuary where the power and grace of Oshun are concentrated.
• Attraction of Prosperity and Sweetness: It is used to ask for abundance, love, money, and the good luck that characterizes Oshun.
• Object of Worship (Addimú): It is placed as a special offering or element of worship on the orisha's throne or altar to reinforce petitions.
• Protection and Healing: Being lined with beads that represent the colors of Oshun (yellow, gold, amber), it acts as a protective shield against negativity (osogbos).
• Instrument of Communication: It can be used in ceremonies to invoke the orisha, serving as a ceremonial percussion tool that produces a specific sound (similar to the chekeré or abwe) that pleases the deity.
