The 4 Ashé of Santo (Erú, Obbí, Kolá, and Ozun Naburu) are fundamental elements in Santería (the Orisha-Ifá tradition) used to charge, consecrate, and give life to the orishas and ritual tools. They represent the divine energy that balances and consecrates, and are indispensable for the "birth" of deities.
-
Sacred Charges: They are the main component for filling the otá (stones) and tools of the orishas, allowing the deity to reside in them.
-
Consecration (Settlement): Without these four elements, the ceremony of settling a saint (making a saint) or charging an amulet is not considered complete or valid.
-
Purification and Power: They are used in works to cleanse, enhance spirituality, and connect the material world with the spiritual world (Orún)
